I would highly recommend this video for anyone who has an interest in bass fishing. I learned more from this video than any magazine I have ever read. The pros go in depth on how to fish each lure, including water temperature,time of day, line type,and rod and reel combination that works best. I am very anxious to try some baits I have never had luck on in the past fishing them in a new and (proper) method.

ReplyDeleteI watched the entire DVD, learned a bunch. I would recommend this DVD to most every one. The fact that the pro's were giving their honest opinion of specific baits/products and "HOW TO" use this baits is most appreciated by some one like my self.

I've wasted a lot of my hard earned money on fishing DVD's that were absolutely worthless.
ReplyDeleteWell let be tell you, this is not the case here, this is absolutely the best, most comprehensive & informative fishing DVD I've every got my hands on. Troy has done an excellent job putting together information on this DVD that would take you years to learn and/or develope in the feild at a fraction of the cost of one trip to the river/lake. Believe me this DVD will save you tons of time and money, not to mention the most important feature, putting more fish in the boat.
I hope to see more with this calibur, covering pan fishing, white perch fishing & catfishing. Hey, I personally would love to see one on surf fishing, I try this every time I'm at the beach, but I'm not vey good at it, sure could use some pointers from the pro's here too. Great job Troy, keep up the good work and keep us all informed as to when the next one will be out. I will be the first in line to purchase it.

I've been an avid bass angler for several decades now, and I highly recommend this DVD. I've read a lot of books & magazines on bass fishing - and I've watched a lot of videos - but this particular DVD gets to the heart of the matter more than the others. It contains numerous detailed tips that many anglers have probably never heard before (e.g. best knots to use, how to keep the drop-shot hook upright, how to modify baits for better presentation) as well as wonderful general suggestions on which fishing lines and rod/reel combos work best for a particular lure. The video quality is excellent and the content is superb.

Spot on for techniques, tactics, lines, weights, colors, tricks, knots, etc. Simply stated, this is a MUST VIEW video for any serious fisherman that wants to be in the know for current and up to date learning experiences. The difference between this video and most is that it is totally driven towards teaching the subtle details, not just showing some pros catch fish. Everything from how to work the baits, customization, and what knots are best.

I ordered a CD in early December. After not receiving it in a reasonable time, I e-mailed Troy questioning my order. He promptly responded and put another CD in the mail. He did not make excuses. His response was that he did not know what happened and he would mail another CD. Since I was away for the holidays, I did not have an opportunity to check my mail today. As you would expect, there were two CDs in my mail box. I have notified Troy that I received them both.
ReplyDeleteI have not watched the CD; however, the purpose of my post is to make everyone aware of the exemplary customer service that Troy provides. One e-mail with a question about mail delivery during the holiday season and I received at least three e-mails and a phone message concerning my shipment. I do not know what the delay was with the first one other than probably just a normal holiday delay. But, I do know that Troy and Pro Fishing Research is on top of their customer service.
Once I have an opportunity to view the CD, I plan to post another response.

What a great instructional fishing DVD! I have $100's of dollars worth of fishing tackle but really didn't know how to fish any of it the correct way. Purchasing and watching this DVD and learning how to fish the top ten bass lures has been the best investment I have made.
ReplyDeleteNot to many lures or baits you buy come with instructions on how to fish them. Most of it comes with trial and error out on the water. Now I have learned in only a few hours what has taken professional anglers years to learn out on the water. I cant wait to try some of the new techniques I have learned watching this DVD.
They say being a good fisherman depends alot on how confident you are in the bait you are using and the presentation of the bait. So now that I know the correct way to fish these lures I am going to go out on the water with more confidence then I have ever had.
All I can say is quit waisting money on all the latest, hottest lures like I have thinking you will come across that magic lure that's going to put fish in the boat and buy this DVD for about the same amount of money as a premium fishing lure. Instead of watching all those other fishing shows that just show you anglers catching fish you actually will learn how to catch fish in this DVD.
I can't wait for the next DVD on how to fish the next top baits 11 - 20. Thanks again for a wonderful informative fishing DVD.

I received the DVD within two days of my order! There was slight damage to the disk - probably happened in shipping. It would not play beyond a certain point. One email to the company resulted in another DVD arriving within two days, along with a personal note from Troy.

I recieved the DVD within a few days of ordering. I watched it immedietly and can tell you that it is very informative and will say it was helpful in eliminating some of the other crap that catches fishermen. This is a must watch DVD for the tournament angler as well as the weekender. I like the no nonsense approach to each lure and technique. Give it a try

Troy, I have to agree with the comments others have posted guy. I have purchased a number of DVD with the hope of learning something, anything with very mixed results. This DVD was a very informative and educational video, one of the very best I've watched. In fact I've watched it a couple times just to ensure I picked up some of the tips I missed the first time through. Do you have anything planned for future release, I would love more input. ReplyDeleteI recently purchased the top 10 lure DVD which was shipped in a timely manner. Although I usually take a products description with a grain of salt, I was very pleased that this DVD is as advertised. The DVD is of professional quality. Each section clearly shows the lure,how to rig it,how to properly fish it and some subtle modifications to increase its effectiveness. Having been raised in a family fishing mountain lakes for trout using bait and trolling lures, plus Colorado isn't exactly known as a premier Bass fishery, I have been trying to teach myself the how and why. I have bought books, magazine subscriptions, other DVD's and watch more fishing shows than my wife can stand, but I can honestly say this is one of my best investments. This Dvd is not like the majority of DVD's or TV shows that are either trying to sell a sponsors product or the host just having a conversation to the camera and catching fish, it actually tries to show you the best way to use each lure. I think everyone can learn something from this DVD even if they are already efficent with some presentations, case in point I only thought I knew how to walk the dog. Since the product description is as truthful as it is, I will assume that by being anonymous, the pros are giving a 100% no bull lure recommendation. I recommend buying this DVD.

I have always believed that if you get one good article or one good tip from a magazine, then it was worth the subscription price for the year. This DVD is worth the subscription price, and in fact, is full of good tips that some of us already may know and have forgotten only to be reminded, while others may be in for a real treat.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutly the best fishing instructional DVD ever. No wait the best fishing media ever. This is the ONE. If you own other dvds I hope you got to watch them a few times. After you see this one they will become like those lures that end up at the bottom of your box. I can't stop watching this dvd and I don't you will be able to either. Well worth the money. What better way to learn then from people who fish 300 days a year. The other 65 days they are thinking about fishing.
